A Case of Congenital Jejunal Atresia

Abstract
There was a case of congenital jejunal atresia, which was developed on the jejunum 20 Cm distal from the Treitz Iigament.
The patient was 7 day old male newborn infant, who was admitted to the department of general surgery of the Seoul Red Cross Hospital on Feb. 5, 1967 with chief complaints of abdominal distension and vomiting since birth.
We underwent the laparotomy under the impression of mechanical intestinal obstrnction, and then we confirmed the congenital jejunal atresia.
We performed resection of enormously dilated proximal segment and end-to-side jejunojejunostomy. Convalescence was uneventful and discharged with good condition.
